1. Acceptance of Terms

By contacting Spud's Plumbing, scheduling a service appointment, using our website at spudsplumbing.com, or engaging with us via phone or text message, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our services and website.

2. Services

Spud's Plumbing provides residential plumbing services in Lexington, NC and the surrounding Davidson County area, including but not limited to drain cleaning, water heater repair and replacement, sewer line repair and replacement, water main repair and replacement, leak detection, and emergency plumbing.

  • All services are subject to availability and scheduling
  • We reserve the right to decline service at our discretion
  • Service estimates provided prior to work are estimates only; final pricing may vary based on conditions discovered during the job
  • Same-day and emergency service availability is not guaranteed and depends on technician availability

3. Pricing, Payment & Estimates

  • All pricing is provided upfront before work begins whenever possible
  • A $0 trip fee applies to standard service calls within our service area
  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
  • Returned checks are subject to a returned check fee in accordance with North Carolina law
  • Promotional offers (including the $99 drain cleaning special, $300 water heater buyback, and $100 same-day guarantee) are subject to individual offer terms and cannot be combined unless stated otherwise

4. Scheduling & Cancellations

  • Appointments are scheduled based on availability and are not guaranteed for a specific time
  • We will make reasonable efforts to provide estimated arrival windows
  • Cancellations made with less than 2 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee
  • We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, parts availability, or other circumstances outside our control

5. Warranties & Guarantees

  • Labor performed by Spud's Plumbing is warranted for 90 days from the date of service under normal use conditions, unless a separate warranty is stated in writing at the time of service
  • Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment are passed through to the customer and are subject to each manufacturer's terms
  • Warranties are void if the repaired system is altered, misused, or serviced by another party after our work is completed
  • Promotional guarantees (such as our same-day service guarantee) are subject to the specific terms of each offer

6. SMS / Text Message Communications

Spud's Plumbing will collect verbal opt-ins from customers. Customers will be able to opt in to receive SMS notifications — including billing updates, appointment reminders, dispatch updates, and job completion surveys — either in person at our location or during a phone call initiated by the customer.

Upon first registration, customers will be asked for their phone number and informed about receiving text messages. Customers will also be notified of:

  • Possible message and data rates that may apply
  • Variable message frequency depending on service activity
  • Instructions to text HELP for support or STOP to unsubscribe at any time

Your phone number will not be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Spud's Plumbing's liability for any claim arising out of services rendered shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use, loss of data, or property damage not directly caused by our negligence
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or damage caused by aging infrastructure, improper prior repairs, or conditions outside our control

8. Property Access & Customer Responsibilities

  • The customer agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area
  • The customer is responsible for securing or removing pets, valuables, and obstructions prior to our technician's arrival
  • The customer is responsible for disclosing any known hazards, asbestos, mold, or other conditions that may affect our technicians' safety
  • Spud's Plumbing is not liable for incidental damage to flooring, walls, or landscaping that is unavoidable in the course of completing the requested repair

9. Website Use

Use of spudsplumbing.com is subject to the following:

  • Content on our website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice for your specific situation
  • We make no warranties that the website will be available at all times or free from errors
  • You agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage or impair the site

10. Privacy

Your use of our services and website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at spudsplumbing.com/privacy-policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Davidson County, North Carolina.

We encourage customers to contact us directly first to resolve any concerns before pursuing legal action.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
